Unkneaded bread rules. It is awesome if you can have something fresh and homemade that requires little work. This is the recipe I’ve taken to.
3 Tablespoons dry active yeast (1 package is 2 1/2 tablespoons, and that works just about as well.)
1 Teaspoon salt
2 Cups warm water
4 Cups flour
Mix it all together and let it sit away from drafts for 2 or so hours. Grease a cookie sheet and dump the dough from the bowl onto the sheet. Let it sit for 20 minutes while the oven pre-heats to 480 degrees. Bake for 15 minutes. Lower the temperature to 260 degrees and let it bake for another 40 or so minutes. Keep an eye on it because every bread is going to turn out slightly different and that may be long enough to burn it.
