Part Five of Many: The Montessori Life: Pics and Tips for Classroom Setup

Since I’ve gotten some questions on how setup works, here are some pictures of my Montessori classroom. Not shown: the library area and the work area. I have three tables and six chairs all designed for preschool height children, and I have seven mats for works that should be done on the floor. You can also see next to my language area, there is a set of cubbies which we use to store art projects and extra clothes, and I use the top row to hold my extra glue sticks, colored pencils, pens, thumb tacks, scissors and other classroom necessities. One of the things I have not done yet, and probably won’t do until after we move, is put a town or a tree on the wall to show the seasons.
